What is Home-centered Ministry?

Home-centered ministry is passing on the faith the way God laid it out through Moses in Deuteronomy 6…the homes and people of God are the main teachers of the faith.  The local congregation provides opportunity to worship, hear the Word of God, join together in the Lord’s Supper and even baptism!  But the homes are where a majority of continued faith growth happens, no matter the structure of the home, when we are lying down or waking up, walking along or resting, even on our doorposts and between our eyes.

The home-centered ministry of Concordia Lutheran Church and School is seeking to bolster this growth outside of the normal congregational activities so that the Gospel can be seen and heard throughout the greater community.  It’s not about changing everything we do, but about focusing and giving purpose to what’s being done already, and creating new opportunities to have a greater impact on the world around us with the grace, mercy, truth and love of God found in Christ Jesus.  It’s living out our Christian faith and living as God’s beloved and redeemed children.  What an adventure this will be!
